An engineer by profession with a passion for Music and Dance

Sritanaya Sharma – an engineer by profession, set out on a path in the field of Music and Dance & achieved distinction in managing top-rated Indian artists in India & abroad. However, she always had a clue about much Carnatic Music and dance. Her zeal made her choose music as her second career immediately after thoroughly her engineering from IIIT Delhi. An engineer by profession, performing artist by choice.

Sritanaya grabbed several opportunities which came her way. She started the practice of Kuchipudi Dance and classical Carnatic music at the tender age of 8; she has performed in India and abroad. She learnt music from Guru Smt. Swarnalatha Subramanian, grandniece of Vaggeyakara Harikesenallur Late Muthaiah Bhagavathar.

She is a recipient of the Sangeetha Yuva Ratna award by Varenyam Music Trust; Sritanya balanced her career and passion for the performing arts. At Lalit Kala Kendra Delhi, Sritanya performed in a packed house and mesmerised the audience for 3 hours.
The artists who accompanied on instruments were
1) Dr Kumbakonam Nagarajan Padmanaban is a renowned artist from New Delhi.
2) Violin: G. Raghavendra Prasath – a disciple of Guru Kalaimamani Shri V.S.K. Chakrapani.
3) Ghatam: Mannai N. Kannan, hailing from a traditional family of musicians, had his initial training from his uncle 4) Mridangam: Vidwan Thiruppugalur Shri. S. Venkatramani.
5) Kanjira : Master P. Adhitya Narayan

6) Tanpura: Mr Jagdeesh Kumar
