VES College of Pharmacy receives A+ Grade in NAAC Accreditation
Mumbai, Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy has been awarded the prestigious A+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for 05 years. With a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.46, VES College of Pharmacy has joined the elite list of colleges accredited with an A+ Grade by NAAC in its first cycle.
The NAAC Peer Team visited the college on 25th& 26th May 2022 and rigorously evaluated it across multiple parameters, including the college’s infrastructure, management, faculty, student contributions, teaching-learning process, institutional values, and best practices. Only 5% of Higher Education Institutions in India have received A+ with higher grades from NAAC adds to the college’s credibility, which has been on a constant upswing.
“This honour results from years of hard work by our students, faculty and support staff under VES management and trustee, Shri B L Boolani. The college is committed to offering quality education to all its students, and the accreditation by NAAC reassures this fact. The college has been leveraging a choice-based academic model, add-on courses, workshops, industry interactions, and experiential and participative learning platforms for curriculum enrichment that allows students to learn in their respective disciplines while also providing a transparent and continuous evaluation process that aids in their holistic development.” said, Dr Supriya Shidhaye, Principal, VES College of Pharmacy.
Regarding the accreditation process, 70% of the assessment is based on data submitted by the institution and evaluated by a third party, making the process even more stringent. VES College of Pharmacy has already been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the B. Pharma program until 2022, based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practised at the college.
VES College of Pharmacy is completing 15 years of existence and has more than 500 students on campus. I am studying B Pharm, M Pharm and Ph D programmes in various specialisations on campus. VESCOP has bagged 1st and 3rd rank pan India among all the pharmacy colleges in the AICTE CII survey for the best industry-linked institute in 2018 and 2021, respectively.
