JEE Main 2024 Results Released: Higher Cut-Offs, More 100-Percentile Scorers!
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results for the second session of JEE Main 2024! This year saw a rise in both the number of applicants and the difficulty level, reflected in the increased cut-offs across categories.
Record-Breaking Results!
A total of 9.24 lakh students registered for JEE Main 2024, with 8.2 lakh appearing for the exams.
The number of students scoring a perfect 100 percentile in Paper 1 (BE/BTech) jumped significantly to 56, with two female toppers (Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi). This is a major increase from 43 in 2023.
Telangana Takes the Lead!
Telangana continues its dominance with the highest number of 100 percentilers (15), followed by Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh (7 each).
Cut-Offs Climb Higher
The cut-off for appearing in JEE (Advanced) has risen again, reaching 93.23 for the general category. This is a significant jump from 90.77 in 2023.
Cut-offs for all categories have increased compared to 2023, with the most significant rise observed for SC and ST candidates.
