IIT Ropar Opens Applications for Summer Internship Program 2024

The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is currently accepting applications for its summer internship programs across various departments. Interested candidates can apply for internships in different departments separately through the official website iitrpr.ac.in. The deadline for registration is March 24th.

During the registration process for offline internships, applicants need to specify the department where they wish to intern. The summer internship program at IIT Ropar will span five to eight weeks, commencing from May 15th to July 15th.

Candidates are required to select a research supervisor within their field of study/course. Although applicants can choose up to three research supervisors in the application form, they must ultimately intern in one department under one supervisor.

Available departments for summer internships at IIT Ropar include Biomedical Engineering, Center for Applied Research in Data Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, and Physics.

The respective department of IIT Ropar will establish selection criteria and prepare a merit list based on the required number of interns.

Hostel accommodation on a sharing basis will be provided subject to availability and at a charge to interns. Applications for accommodation must be submitted to the office of the dean of student affairs through the faculty supervisor and the Head of the Department for approval.

Interns will be responsible for covering the cost of food and other amenities, as no financial assistance will be provided.
