India | 18th October 2024: The SHRM India Annual Conference (IAC) 2024 successfully concluded after two transformative days at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event, which brought together over 4,500 participants and featured more than 150 recognized speakers from various sectors, has left an indelible mark on India’s HR landscape. With a focus on revolutionizing workplaces, empowering leadership, and fostering collaboration, SHRM IAC 2024 proved to be a significant platform for thought leadership and innovation.
The theme for this year, ‘NOW,’ emphasized the urgency of leveraging action to make impactful and relevant changes in the workplace. Over the two days, discussions spanned key issues such as governance, human rights, the integration of AI and human intelligence, career recognition, employee wellness, and navigating challenges in the HR sector.
On Day 1, the conference kicked off with a welcome address by Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO of SHRM India, APAC, and MENA, followed by a keynote address by Shri Atul Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. One of the major highlights of the first day was the announcement of a strategic alliance between SHRM and NSDC, aimed at addressing the skill gap for India’s future workforce.
